ChaPter FAST FACTS
The Gamma Omicron Chapter was founded at UBC in 1936. Our Chapter motto is “Neighbour of Pilots”.
We are the only fraternity at UBC to own both our house and our land.
We have won the John Reily Knox Award four times (1999, 2000, 2001, 2008). This is the highest honour bestowed on a chapter of Beta Theta Pi recognizing excellence in academics, community service, and campus involvement.
We have won the sports trophy 29 times in the last 40 years.
Our Chapter has the most Rhodes Scholars of any Beta Chapter – 8.
Our membership role is over 2100 Brothers.
The Beta Theta Pi colours are pink and blue, representing the sunrise and sunset.
Our “Drop The Puck” philanthropy has raised over $165,000 for Mental Health Awareness and community impact.
